Wellbeing Center, Bhutan (CCBA Designs Pvt. Ltd.)*

The international competition involved designing a resort for the prime minister of Bhutan. A 300 ft level difference on the site with a sole access from the north led to use of the topography in placement of various spaces. Elevators, stairs, ramps and roads connect the main courtyard entrance to the private villas and rooms on either sides. A infinity pool with other public facilities is placed on the lowest point with a view of the valley beyond. The resort is oriented so that each spaces has an uninterrupted and defined views of the valleys, forest and surrounding landscapes.
